After taking a break of 1.5 years, I’m finally back to college.
I spent that time building my content empire and freelancing full-time. And now, I’ve chosen to continue my master’s — to restart a journey I paused nearly two years ago.
Was the break worth it? Absolutely.
It gave me financial freedom, clarity, and purpose.
But emotionally... it’s been a rollercoaster.
For the past two years, I was home.
My dad, my siblings, my mom — they were my whole world.
My chores were taken care of. My meals were ready.
There was warmth, familiarity, and love.
And now — I’ve stepped out.
A new place.
New people.
Zero emotional familiarity.
Making new friends, re-learning how to talk, how to engage — it's not easy when you've spent most of your days surrounded by screens, four walls, your laptop, and your vision board.
I had forgotten what “normal” felt like.
What a lunch table conversation sounded like.
What small talk looked like.
But here's what I’ve realized:
When you step out of comfort, you remember the value of it.
You start valuing your home.
Your people.
Your routine.
Even the smallest laugh from your sibling.
Even a warm cup of chai with your dad.
Right now, I’m trying to bring back that extroverted side of me — little by little.
The first two days were awkward and overwhelming.
But it’s getting better now.
So, if you're also restarting something in life — college, career, or confidence —
You’re not alone.
And if you’ve faced this kind of transition — tell me in the comments. I’d love to know your experience. 🤍
Also, if you’re looking to explore side hustles and new skills while studying, don’t miss my new video.
It’s linked below — trust me, it’ll give you a headstart.
SRJ signing off.
